Be assured we are holding up the Nevada portion of the Apple Salad consumption. I have NEVER understood how you can eat it the following day, all slimy and brown, just grosses me out. The boys will handle that task I am sure. I will be rightfully stuffing my "Jaybird" Hope your turkey day is pleasant. Love to all
Oh good lord, I need that shirt now. Where do I get it? We'll be lucky to make it through the meal with no screaming, shouting, throwing things or fire. So, umm, yeah, not looking so good over here. Are you accepting guests? ;)
PS Blogger has been put on notice by me with all of the not loading of pictures behavior it has pulled lately.
How can you not remember all of our loving, cordial, not crowded, pleasant, dish doing Thanksgivings growing up? LOL thinking of you all on Thursday, Barb

Of course I remember: the slamming of the utensil drawer, the saying of grace while Mom was still taking things out of the oven, applesalad leftovers only for the first two kids that awoke the next morning (Yep, slime and all)... I also remember that when dad's entire family drives in for Thanksgiving, one dishwasher is not enough, and the cliche about being hungry 20 minutes after dinner, but still 20 minutes before pie, means that the teenaged boys at dinner that day will eat all the turkey leftovers while the radical cousins and the conservative uncles fight about who is running for office.
Ahhhhh, good times. I actually don't have any real bad memories - but some of them still make me laugh.
