Spamalot

OK, I'm sorry Mrs. Nielson... I loved it. LOVED.

It was so darn clever, and I laughed so hard. It was like a two tiered plot, in that they told the Monty Python Holy Grail story, with all the wonderful whimsy and british humor you expect - but they also wove in satirical references to other big musical productions and they seemed to totally fit in to the chaos that is Monty Python. It was fresh - and I didn't think that was going to be possible. I was delighted, and DH even liked it. (He's not much of a theatre guy.)

I would see it again in a heartbeat - because I think I was laughing so hard in spots that I missed some really great stuff.

I really wanted to get the soundtrack and the killer bunny slippers - but we're on a budget. Damn!

So that we all have the right frame of reference, remember when Elaine from Seinfeld said "I didn't like The English Patient"...

I must be Elaine...

I hated the English Patient...also hated Legends of the Fall...boy did I get flack for that one!

BUT Dodi, was it as good as Mama Mia...I mean how can anything be better then a play full of ABBA songs?

But Adain Quinn! You had to like it alittle bit. (LotF) We're all Elaine then - I didn't even watch all the way through.

And since I missed Spamolot - I prefer the review that it wasn't that good. I'm not listening Dodi. lalalala

You know what? I also hated the English Patient. Thought it was one of the worst movies I'd ever spent money to see.

You know, I had forgotten how much I hated that movie until now. thank God we had Elaine to put it in to perspective for us.

Oh, and Mama Mia? Didn't see it. Wanted to, but didn't. Heard it was wonderful.

if mama mia comes back out we must all go as a neighborhood mommies field trip...much funner to go with gal pals then hubbies who are embarrassed by your singing along!

the thing is, it's one of those that people got up in the audiance and danced and sung...fun fun---it was like being at a cuban wedding..hahaha
